Makko means "Incense Powder", but when we talk about the Makko we carry, are talking about a specific powder called Tabu no ki, which is the bark of the Machillus Thunbergii tree which takes at least five years to mature after they are planted. Baieido pays growers double for the Makko powder, thus ensuring the trees will be replanted continuously making them available for the future for sustainable and ethical harvesting.
