Frankincense provides one of the most evocative scents in the long history of aromatics. Its fresh, fruity, pine-lemon bouquet is delicately sweet with resinous and woody undertones. Frankincense is know to slow and deepen breathing, awaken higher consciousness, and enhance spirituality through meditation and prayer.
Frankincense is obtained from trees of the Boswellia Rivae family. The frankincense tree produces a resin collected by making an incision into the bark. The fluid substance is milky white, solidifying into amber “tears”. It is available in various grades, which depend on the time of harvesting. The resin is then hand-sorted for quality.
